What is the difference between raw and pre-finished cork?
The main difference between raw and pre-finished cork tiles lies in their installation requirements and finish:
Raw cork tiles come in their natural state and require additional steps during installation. After being laid, they need to be sanded, sealed, and finished to protect the surface. This allows for a customised finish but requires more time and effort.
Pre-finished cork tiles are already sanded, sealed, and finished by our manufacturer, making them quicker and easier to install. They are ready to use immediately after installation without the need for additional treatments.

Raw cork tiles offer a more traditional approach, while pre-finished tiles provide convenience.

Please note: As cork is a natural product, there will be variations in appearance (colour, gloss, texture, etc.) between individual tiles and batches. These variations are a celebrated feature of cork and adds a natural, unique look to every space.
